President Prabowo Subianto launched version 6.0 of the electronic catalog at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (10/12).

The launch of the latest version of the e-catalogue is part of the government's efforts to achieve clean governance through digitalization.

I would like to express my gratitude to the working groups that functioned under the coordination of the President of the National Economic Council, who organized the launch of the electronic catalog version 6.0 today. This measure aims to improve transparency, efficiency and speed, the president said.

The President emphasized that from January 1, 2025, all ministries, agencies and regional governments must use version 6.0 of the electronic catalog. According to the President, the use of this new electronic catalog should improve the efficiency of public procurement of goods and services.

This catalog is expected to reduce procurement costs by 20 to 30 percent and administrative costs by 40 to 50 percent, the president said.

The president also highlighted that efficiency remains a challenge for Indonesia, compared to neighboring countries. This is reflected in Indonesia's incremental capital output ratio (ICOR), which stands at 6, higher than neighboring countries at 4 or 5.

This means we are seen as less efficient than some of our neighboring economies. In fact, this inefficiency is estimated at 30 percent, the president said.

The President expressed hope that the implementation of version 6.0 of the electronic catalog will improve the efficiency of public procurement of goods and services. He also urged all stakeholders to work together to support efforts to achieve clean and transparent governance.
