President-elect Donald Trump will nominate Kimberly Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece, the latest of his choices to have a close connection to a family member.

“For many years, Kimberly has been a close friend and ally,” Trump wrote Tuesday in a Truth Social article. “Her extensive experience and leadership in the legal, media and political arenas, as well as her keen intellect, make her extremely qualified to represent the United States and safeguard its interests abroad.”

Guilfoyle, a former Fox News personality, has long been an integral part of Trump's world: She served as Trump's campaign finance chair during his 2020 campaign and continued to act as a surrogate, including giving fiery speeches at of the last two Republican National Conventions. .

Trump Jr. said in a tweet that he was proud of Guilfoyle, writing that “she loves America and she has always wanted to serve the country as our ambassador.”

Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, Trump's former senior White House adviser, who is married to Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka.
