Golkar appreciates Jokowi's commitment not to attend 60th anniversary flagship event

SinPo.id – Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Golkar Party Sarmuji appreciated the absence of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the milestone event of the 60th anniversary of the Golkar Party (HUT).
The Golkar Party understands that Jokowi has other activities that cannot be abandoned. According to Sarmuji, everyone has something important and inevitable.
“Maybe he has very important activities or intentions,” said Sarmuji after attending the 60th anniversary summit of the Golkar Party at the Sentul International Convention Center, Bogor, West Java, Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Apart from that, Sarmuji said that the anniversary of the holiday with the symbol of the banyan tree had a surprise because the speech of the General Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, was praised by President Prabowo Subianto.
He explained that what the President welcomed was a proposal regarding Bahlil who wanted the electoral system to be reformulated to be better. According to him, the regional elections, which took place peacefully, in reality still left problems.
“Due to the facts on the ground that we encountered today, this Pilkada is very expensive,” said the DPR RI MP.
In this way, he said, the Golkar Party will carefully examine the political system for both general and regional elections. He hopes there is the best possible formula for creating better leaders.
Previously, the Golkar Party said that it had invited President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, general chairmen of political parties and other figures, including the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
