Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf), Sandiaga Unoresponding to the question of whether his name would be included in the presidential candidate market PPP. “This PPP has been facing several problems for almost several years, but to deal with these problems, we can overcome these challenges if we come together,” he said.
Sandiaga admitted that there had been a lot of talk about his candidacy for the presidency of the PPP. In fact, Sandiaga admitted to communicating with the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, regarding the future of the PPP.
“Yesterday I spoke with Mr. Jokowi and asked him for advice, his opinion. And he said this PPP has extraordinary potential if it can continue to be close to the community,” he said.
Chairman of the PPP DPP Advisory Council, M Romahurmuziy alias Rommy, revealed that there were four names on the PPP candidate list. Former Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sadiaga Uno and Central Java Deputy Governor Taj Yasin are on the PPP candidate list.
Rommy said the four names were obtained through the internal aspirations of the PPP party. It is possible that caketum names will increase in the future.
“Within the PPP, there is Gus Yasin who was re-elected yesterday as deputy governor of Central Java, then there is Mr. Sandi Uno who was also the chairman of our bapilu. Yesterday, Mr. Sandi even expressed his concern, not explicitly but at the national level, the PPP must increase again,” Rommy told reporters after attending the opening of the PPP National Mukernas in Ancol, North Jakarta, Friday (13/12).
In addition to these two names, the PPP is open to members other than its executives to become generals. They recognized that they were open to this option for the progress of the party.
