A video of two men intercepting 7th President Joko Widodo's car while they were kneeling has gone viral on social media. Jokowi explains the story behind this moment.

In a viral video seen detikcomOn Sunday (12/15/2024), two men were seen waiting for Jokowi's car to leave the alley of his house in Solo, Central Java. After Jokowi's car left, they were both seen sitting cross-legged with their hands clasped, begging for a chance to speak to Jokowi.

One man was seen wearing a white shirt, while another wore a batik shirt. Jokowi's car stopped for a moment.

One of Jokowi's aides was seen rolling down the window while speaking to the man. Another Jokowi aide was seen getting out of the back car and approaching the man.

Jokowi also re-uploaded the video when it was intercepted via his personal X account. Jokowi explained that this moment happened before Friday prayers.

“Two days ago, before Friday prayer time, two people came to me to convey something that seemed important,” Jokowi said in his tweet, seen on Sunday (12/15/2024).

“I convey to you that we will first perform Friday prayers, after which we will be invited to meet at the residence,” he continued.

Jokowi then began listening to the two men's stories. Jokowi did not further explain the complaints conveyed in his tweet.

“After Friday prayers, we met and listened carefully to their complaints. It turned out that the 2 men were from Riau.

Jokowi said he would always be open to listening to complaints from residents who came to him.

“I'm always open to listening. I hope I can help,” he added.
