PTI mourns D Chowk's death today

On the instructions of the Founder Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a Shuhada Jalsa (martyrs' rally) will be held at Bagh-e-Naran, Hayatabad, in memory of those who lost their lives during the protest of D-Chowk, Islamabad.

The event will be attended by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Mehmood Khan Achakzai, provincial ministers and central leaders.

During the gathering, candles will be lit in remembrance of the deceased workers and prayers will be offered for the speedy recovery of the injured.

PTI has completed all arrangements for the event, which is being organized to honor those who lost their lives during the D-Chowk protests in Islamabad. Banners and posters were put up across the city for the Shuhada Jalsa.

The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will continue until the evening. A large number of party members will participate, including President Barr Gohar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, members of provincial and state assemblies and workers.

Candles will be lit to honor the memory of those killed in the D-Chowk firing, and prayers will be offered for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said 12 people lost their lives in clashes with security forces at D-Chowk in Islamabad on the night of November 26, Express News reported.

After meeting PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi earlier this month, party president Barrister Gohar addressed the media, saying they had provided information about Islamabad's protest at Imran Khan.

“Due to lack of access to newspapers and television, the founder was not aware of what happened in Islamabad on November 26,” Gohar said.

Barrister Gohar also congratulated the workers who participated in the protests, saying Imran Khan had honored their efforts.

“The founder's message is that we should attend the National Assembly session, go to the Senate and raise this issue in Parliament. Protest and take this issue forward,” Gohar added.

He said the PTI founder would announce the next course of action later.

He said that today they informed Imran Khan about the martyrdom of Rangers, Police and PTI workers, for which he expressed deep sadness.

“No shots should have been fired during the sit-in or protests, whether in Islamabad or elsewhere,” he strongly condemned.

He also ordered the treatment of the injured and paid tribute to all workers and leaders.

According to lawyer Gohar, Imran Khan has sent a message to the party to maintain unity, while opponents are trying to create divisions.
