JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) said that one of the reasons was the basis for the dismissal of the President of the Republic of Indonesia 2014-2024 Joko Widodo (Jokowi) from his party membership because he was seen as abusing power and undermining democracy.
This is stated in Decree (SK) Number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 which was stipulated on December 14, 2024 and signed by PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDI-P Secretary General ( Sekjen) Hasto Kristiyanto.
Jokowi's dismissal was announced by PDI-P DPP Honorary Division Chairman Komarudin Watubun on Monday (16/12/2024).
