PM Modi's visit to Jaipur: Rs 1 Lakh Crore of programs to be dedicated, 21 districts to benefit | Latest news
PM Modi is expected to arrive in Jaipur around 11:30 am and spend over two hours there. The state government has named the event 'Har Ghar Khushhali' (prosperity in every home). Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also attend the event.
Rs 46,000 Crore projects
According to reports, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around 46,000 crores. These projects include solar parks, power grids, railways, national highways and various other projects. Offers worth around Rs 58,000 crore will also be released during this event.
Foundation stone laying ceremony
The state government has arranged several earthen pots for the foundation stone laying ceremony of PKC-ERCP. These pots would contain water from the Parvati, Chambal and Kalisindh rivers, which could be symbolically combined in the presence of the Prime Minister.
PKC-ERCP for the benefit of these districts
The PKC-ERCP project will provide water for agriculture, industries and drinking to 21 districts of Rajasthan. These districts include Jhalawar, Baran, Kota, Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Karauli, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Deeg, Dausa, Alwar, Khairthal-Tijara, Jaipur, Jaipur Rural, Kotputli-Behror, Ajmer, Beawar, Kekri, Tonk, and Dudu.
Project to be implemented in two phases
The first phase of the PKC-ERCP project is expected to be completed in four years. This phase will involve bringing water from Naunehra dam to Bisoolpur and Isarda. This includes the construction of Ramgarh Dam, Mahalpur Dam, canal network and pumping stations at Naunehra, as well as a pumping station on the Mej River. The plan for the second phase is currently being finalized.
