PM Modi to inaugurate and launch projects worth over Rs 46,300 Crore in Rajasthan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Rajasthan on Tuesday (December 17) to participate in the Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh programme, marking the completion of one year of rule in the state.
According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of at least 24 projects worth over Rs 46,300 crore during the event in Jaipur.
The projects cover critical sectors such as energy, roads, railways and water. Among them, nine projects worth over Rs 11,000 crore will be inaugurated, including seven central government projects and two state government initiatives.
Additionally, foundation stones will be laid for 15 projects valued at over Rs 35,300 crore, comprising nine central government projects and six state government projects.
According to the PMO release, the projects being inaugurated include Navnera Dam, Smart Power Transmission Network and Asset Management System, Railway Electrification of Bhildi-Samdari-Luni-Jodhpur- Section Merta Road-Degana-Ratangarh and Delhi Road Package 12. -Vadodara Green Field Alignment (NH-148N), which includes a major bridge over the Mej River.
These projects aim to improve connectivity, meet energy demand and align with the Prime Minister's vision for green energy.
Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of Ramgarh and Mahalpur dams, as well as a system to transfer water from Navnera dam to Bisalpur and Isarda dams via an aqueduct on the Chambal river. These initiatives, costing over Rs 9,400 crore, are aimed at meeting the water needs of the region.
Other key projects include the installation of solar power plants on the roofs of government buildings, the development of a 2,000 MW solar park, two 1,000 MW solar parks in Poogal (Bikaner) and a power line. transportation of drinking water from Saipau (Dholpur) to Bharatpur and other areas. .
Foundation stones will also be laid for railway projects such as the Luni-Samdari-Bhildi double line, Ajmer-Chanderiya double line and Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur double line, as well as power transmission projects.
