Solo: After being officially dismissed from PDIP, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, emphasized that it would remain an individual party. He said this when met at his private residence in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo.

Meanwhile, when asked for a response regarding his eldest son Gibran Rakabuming Raka who was also fired by the PDIP, Jokowi asked the media to ask the relevant person directly about the matter. “Yes, just ask Mr. Gibran, why are you asking me,” he added.
Meanwhile, when asked for an answer on why he was fired, Jokowi stressed that he was not able to defend himself. “I said earlier, I am not in a position to defend myself or give an assessment because it has already been decided. Time will test it,” he explained.
Previously, it was reported that the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) officially dismissed the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), from membership in the party. The dismissal was based on Decision Letter Number: 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024 regarding the revocation of Joko Widodo from PDIP membership.
“The Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle examines and so on, remembers and so on, pays attention, decides. One, determines, gives organizational sanctions in the form of the dismissal of Joko Widodo from joining the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle”, said PDI-P Honorary Division Chairman Komarudin Watubun in a written statement, Monday, December 16, 2024.
The second point of the decree prohibits Jokowi from carrying out activities and holding any position on behalf of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle. Third, as of the issuance of this termination letter, the DPP PDI Perjuangan has no relationship and is not responsible for anything Jokwi does.
“Fourth, DPP PDI Perjuangan will be responsible for this decision letter at the next Congress,” said Komarudin.
Fifth, the decision letter is valid from the date it is stipulated. If there is an error in the future, it will be reviewed and corrected if necessary.
