Jokowi’s Response to PDI Perjuangan Dismissal – Online Alert

SOLO, Waspada.co.id – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) admitted that he resigned following the decision of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) to dismiss him as an executive. Jokowi will also not defend himself against PDIP's accusations against him.

Jokowi's dismissal was issued based on Decree Number 1649/KPTS/DPP/XII/2024. Jokowi has been part of the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol for 20 years.

“And I am not able to defend myself or pass judgment because the decision has already been made,” Jokowi said during a meeting at his private residence in Sumber, Banjarsari, Tuesday (17/12).

Jokowi said time would test this decision. But at that time he didn't want to take any position. Jokowi said he respected all decisions made by the PDIP.

“Later, time will test him. I think that's it. Yes, it’s good, it’s good, I respect that,” he said.

Previously, the PDI Perjuangan issued a decision letter regarding the dismissal of Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Bobby Nasution and 27 other party cadres. They are no longer cadres of the Indonesian Democratic Struggle Party.
