PDIP targets Jokowi Cawe-cawe 2025 congress by changing secretary general

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The 7th President Joko Widodo is suspected of wanting to join the Indonesian Democratic Struggle Party congress in April 2025 by changing the position of secretary general. The chairman of the PDIP Central Leadership Council, Deddy Sitorus, did not deny the news of Jokowi's maneuver.

Deddy asked the media team to look into the matter in depth. However, Deddy said that within the PDIP, the issue of Jokowi being a daughter of Congress has indeed become widespread and has been deliberately raised by various parties.

“I don't think we have different opinions (on Jokowi),” said Deddy in a press conference at the DPP PDIP, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 19, 2024. “But we don't want to quote names here. because these names are no longer worth mentioning in our opinion.”

Responding to a question regarding PDIP General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri's warning about prohibiting cadres from playing with two legs, Deddy spoke sparingly. “When it comes to two legs, there are definitely two legs everywhere. So, I don't think I'll go any further because Ms. Mega has already talked about it,” he said.

Previously, Megawati suspected that there were parties who wanted to disrupt the PDIP 2025 congress. These parties did not want Megawati to become general president again. He suspects some parties will think his leadership has not been successful.

“He told the congress that he wanted to spoil (the chaos).
