PAN ready to accept Jokowi and Gibran if they want to join: Ahlan Wa Sahlan

National Mandate Party (PAN) welcomes President of the Republic of Indonesia 2014-2024 Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029 Gibran Rakabuming Raka joining the party carrying the sun symbol .
PAN Vice President Yandri Susanto stressed that his party would be very happy if Jokowi and Gibran wanted to join it after both were fired by the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP).
“Yes, with pleasure,” said Yandri fi during the workshop organized by PAN DPP at Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya, Friday (12/20/2024).

Yandri even admitted that he would prepare a blue carpet to welcome Jokowi and Gibran to the PAN.
“If Pak Jokowi and Mas Gibran want to join PAN, wow, it’s a blue carpet for them,” he stressed.
According to the PDT minister, PAN's relations with Jokowi and Gibran are very good. Additionally, PAN is a party of Jokowi's government and supports Gibran as vice-presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.
“We immediately prepared the carpet and the relations between PAN and Pak Jokowi and Mas Gibran are very good. There are no communication barriers. So if he wants to join PAN, Ahlan Wa Sahlan, welcome,” he explained.
However, Yandri admitted that there had been no communication between PAN, Jokowi and Gibran regarding plans to join the party.
“No, not yet. Pak Jokowi knows better. Whether we want to join or not, we leave it to Pak Jokowi. But if you want to join PAN, it doesn't matter,” Yandri said.
