Suara.com – The narrative constructed by the PDIP regarding the alleged involvement of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in the determination of the suspect Hasto Kristiyanto is considered reasonable.

Tanjungpura (Untan) Pontianak University political observer Haunan Fachry Rohilie said that on the PDIP side, there appears to be an effort to strengthen public perception regarding Jokowi's alleged involvement.

On the other hand, Jokowi also has Projo as a voluntary mass organization, most of which are PDIP voters. Thus, according to Haunan, the attention paid to the determination of suspect Hasto is not as great as the public pressure to solve and arrest Harun Masiku, who is still at large.

Haunan also said there was too great a risk if the Corruption Eradication Commission carelessly determined suspect status.

“It is impossible for the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) to name suspects at random, there is the good reputation of the institution, the good reputation of the investigators that are at stake,” he said .

Haunan also found that there was a public perception that the Hasto case was pending since 2020, given that the PDIP at the time was still part of Jokowi's government coalition. However, the situation has now changed since PDIP entered the Prabowo-Gibran opposition camp.
