Senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that if the leaders of the three major political parties, PTI, PML-N and PPP, meet for negotiations, the crisis in which the country has been plunged since 70 years would be resolved within 70 days. .

Since the incarceration of Imran Khan last year in several cases, the PTI's relations with the government and the establishment have deteriorated sharply, marked by protests which often degenerated into violence against a backdrop of state repression.

Following the unrest, Imran set up a five-member committee to hold talks with anyone, signaling a change in stance of PTI lawmakers in Parliament. In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also formed a committee comprising members of the ruling coalition.

The first meeting between the government and PTI committees was held on Monday, marking the start of long-awaited negotiations to ease political tensions.

Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza said the PTI would officially give the government time until January 31 to conclude the ongoing negotiations. Earlier, Sanaullah said the government would respond to such a request.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore today, the PML-N leader said that if the three key leaders, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PTI founder Imran Khan and President Asif Ali Zardari were included in the negotiating committee, they would have a vision similar to that of Nawaz. upon his return last year, the crisis that has surrounded Pakistan for 70 years could end in 70 days.

He said the PTI claims his warrant was stolen and it should be returned.

Meanwhile, at the same event, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif questioned the PTI's reasoning for wanting negotiations after refusing to hold talks with the PML-N for about two years.

Shibli added that the PTI, at all levels of membership, is being tested. He said Imran's conditions for the talks are release of jailed PTI workers. He demanded their release, but he is leading his own fight, the senator said.
