Malang: The progress of the renovation of the Kanjuruhan Stadium in Kepanjen, Malang Regency, East Java, has now reached 99.5 percent. The implementation of this stadium renovation was previously an instruction from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after the Kanjuruhan tragedy on October 1, 2022.

The construction contractor is Waskita – Abipraya KSO, with construction management Bina KSO Yodya.
The scope of the renovation works includes the demolition of the stadium, renovation of the stadium building, landscaping, renovation of the athletics track and football field, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing works ( MEP), he said.
Airyn added that Kanjuruhan Stadium has a total area of 3.4 hectares. This stadium should have a capacity of 21,603 spectators.
The building consists of the West Stand for 108 VVIP seats, 2,465 VIP seats, 134 Media seats and 16 disabled seats. There is also a General Stand, which includes the East Stand with a total of 4,352 seats, as well as the North Stand and the South Stand with a total of 7,264 seats each.
