Jakarta: The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) announced that the naming of Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect has political implications. The reason is that the direction of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is believed to have changed, especially in the pursuit of fugitive Harun Masiku.

According to Ronny, the leaked Notice of Initiation of Investigation (SPDP) into Hasto's appointment was part of a political drama. There are attempts to make it viral.
“In fact, this latest SPDP leak is like a political drama created by the Corruption Eradication Commission to frame it so that it goes viral,” Ronny said.
Harun's case, he said, always comes and goes. It was claimed that Harun's case became popular when Hasto began expressing critical opinions.
Hasto, said Ronny, was named a suspect after PDIP fired a number of its cadres. One of the seventh presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
“It’s all very politicized. When we talk about former President Jokowi, it is with the intention that the public does not forget that law enforcement officials and even the current KPK are Jokowi's version of the KPK,” said Ronny .
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) officially announced Hasto Kristiyanto as a corruption suspect linked to fugitive Harun Masiku. Hasto is reportedly actively trying to win the Harun seat as a member of the DPR in the 2019 elections through an interim replacement process (PAW).
He is also a suspect in a case of alleged obstruction of the investigation. Hasto is suspected of obstructing the PAW corruption case of DPR members since the undercover operation (OTT) was held. One of them allegedly ordered the destruction and scrapping of a number of cell phones.
