ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) National Assembly member and senior leader Sherafazal Marwat has asserted that the government and the establishment had promised to release PTI founder Imran Khan by December 20.

Speaking to a private television, PTI leader Sherafazal Marwat claimed that the PTI founder and his workers would be released soon and said that Imran Khan had been approached directly on several occasions.

During the conversation, Sherafazal Marwat widely claimed that government and establishment officials had promised to release the PTI founder by December 20.

Replying to a question, he clarified that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi was not the only one who came up with the offer, but government and establishment officials were also involved.

Regarding the offer of the government and the establishment to release the PTI founder, he further revealed that there was earlier a proposal that the PTI founder would be transferred to Nathia Gali and for this, the House of Governor was also cleared, but the PTI rejected the proposal to move to Nathia Gali.

Sherafazal Marwat said that the intensity of the protest would increase with the exit of the PTI founder, while regarding the negotiating committee, he said that no one was individually ready to submit written demands, but the founder of the PTI would be consulted.
