'India commits to lead on AI': PM Modi highlights India's commitment to AI and opportunities for youth
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reaffirmed India's ambition to become the global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on innovation and creating opportunities for young people. His remarks came on Saturday after an informative meeting with Vishal Sikka, former CEO of Infosys and founder of Vianai Systems.

Future Skills Training: Nearly 8.6 lakh candidates have enrolled in the IndiaAI Future Skills program, designed in collaboration with industry partners to meet the latest technology requirements.
AI Data Labs: Facilities are being set up in cities such as Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Shimla, Aurangabad, Patna, Buxar and Muzaffarpur to advance AI-based research and applications.
Sector impact: AI solutions tailored to agriculture, education, healthcare, logistics and the financial sector aim to address India-specific challenges and increase efficiency.
The IndiaAI Missions' Future Skills initiative aims to improve the country's workforce readiness by reducing barriers to entry into AI programs and expanding the talent pool.
The program is a step towards empowering young people with the skills to lead in an AI-driven world, a government spokesperson said.
