Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch several development and infrastructure projects in Delhi worth over 12,200 crores

It's a big day for Delhi on Sunday, January 5, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate several development projects worth over 12,200 crore, in the run-up to the city assembly elections.

One of the major projects launched is the new 13-kilometre Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Rapid Rail (RRTS) corridor, which is worth 4,600 million.

The new Rapid Rail corridor will connect Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh to Ghaziabad in New Ashok Nagar in Delhi, marking the first milestone of Namo Bharat connectivity for the national capital.

The press release said, “This will significantly facilitate travel between Delhi and Meerut and benefit millions of people with comfortable, high-speed travel and unmatched safety and reliability.

The projects will be inaugurated in Delhi by Prime Minister Modi on January 5

• A 13 kilometer stretch of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar, worth approximately 4,600 crore, will be inaugurated by PM Modi. At 11:15 am, PM Modi is scheduled to board the Namo Bharat train.
• PM Modi will also inaugurate the 2.8 km phase IV stretch of Delhi Metro between Janakpuri and Krishna Park, a project worth around 1,200 million.

• The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the worthwhile 26.5 km-long Rithala – Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase IV. 6,230 million. This will improve connectivity in the northwest region of Delhi and Haryana.
