Jemima Goldsmith, a British film producer and ex-wife of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, was hospitalized after a hiking accident in Cape Town, South Africa, during the New Year holidays.

Jemima Goldsmith, who was hiking with friends and family, fell while descending from the summit of Lion's Head, a popular Cape peak that rises 2,194 feet (669 meters) above sea level.

The fall caused injuries to his ankle and foot, requiring his immediate transport to a local hospital.

In an Instagram post, Jemima shared her experience with her followers, revealing that she was enjoying the scenic views from the summit before the accident happened.

“Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town,” she wrote. “Embrace the highs and lows of 2025 – incredible views from the top of Lion's Head with friends and family, then a fall and an endless hobble in the dark. Happy New Year friends.

The film's producer and founder of Instinct Productions released a series of photographs documenting the aftermath of the incident.

One showed her in a hospital bed, wearing a protective boot on her right foot. Another photo shows her standing on crutches, smiling despite the injury.

Jemima Goldsmith reassured her followers that she was stable and recovering, although the fall was painful. “I’m feeling better, thank you all for your good wishes,” she added on social media.

She recently came into the public eye for her advocacy regarding the imprisonment of her ex-husband Imran Khan.

Jemima Goldsmith and Imran Khan, married from 1995 to 2004, have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, who both live in London.
