Imran Khan authorizes written submission of PTI demands to govt: Ali Zafar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Ali Zafar has revealed that party founder Imran Khan allowed the government's negotiating team to receive PTI's written demands, without meeting him in person.

Zafar, who is also PTI's parliamentary leader in the Senate, explained that Imran Khan made it clear that his demands were aimed at people who had been incarcerated without trial or those who were undergoing prolonged detention.

“The PTI founder is not seeking his own release,” Zafar said. “He said he would win all his cases in court because the accusations against him are baseless. »

Zafar added that Khan also mentioned that the cases against him had already been dismissed and he was not asking for anything more for himself.

Regarding the meetings between PTI leaders and Khan, Zafar mentioned that even though their lawyers continued to meet him, the political party was denied access. “Our political party would have discussed the written draft, but the government first insisted that the requests be submitted in writing,” he explained.

Zafar stressed that the matter had been resolved, with Khan agreeing to allow requests to be submitted in writing without a direct meeting.
