Putin announces upcoming telephone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced his intention to hold an imminent telephone conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Speaking at a government meeting on Sino-Russian cooperation in the film industry, President Putin said: “My colleague, the leader of the People's Republic of China, and I will have a telephone conversation soon.” . Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
During the meeting, Putin asked Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova for an update on collaborative film projects with China.
After hearing the report, he requested that the information be prepared for potential use in his discussion with Xi Jinping.
“Could you please provide me with the relevant details of the briefing notes? This would be useful for my conversation with our friends,” Putin told Lyubimova.
The two leaders last communicated in person at the BRICS summit in Kazan in October 2024. Before that, Putin paid a state visit to China in May of the same year. Their last telephone conversation took place in February 2024.
