YOGYAKARTA – Residents of Yogyakarta (Kawula Ngayogyakarta) organized a cultural action with a pilgrimage to the tomb of Panembahan Senopati at the Mataram Kings burial complex in Kotagede Yogyakarta, Saturday (11/1/2025).

Dressed in Peranakan clothing, they would go on pilgrimage together and pray. After the pilgrimage, the essence of the activity was transmitted through a Geguritan song containing a moral message responding to current conditions.

The pilgrimage to the graves of ancestors, especially the founder of Mataram Panembahan Senopati, was carried out as a symbol of cultural action in response to national conditions in Indonesia, particularly the behavior of former PDI-P cadre Joko Widodo who “loved nggendhong lali”. .

Susanto Dwi Antoro, a community leader in Yogyakarta after a pilgrimage and prayer at the ancestral graves in Mataram, said that on behalf of the people of Yogyakarta city, he was concerned about Joko Widodo's behavior. “In other words, we remind Ojo Melik to carry Lali,” he hopes.

According to him, the public felt amused and saddened by Joko Widodo's actions and behavior. “Wes ora iso iso dikandani (we can’t call it again). “Many national and even political figures have given information but have not been heard,” he said after praying together.
