Warning from Boris Johnson's wife Carrie after double diagnosis following brutal 18-day illness
Carrie Johnson has revealed she was hospitalized after battling an 18-day illness over the festive period. The mother of three, 36, shared on Instagram on Saturday that she had been admitted to hospital for “nearly a week” following a lung infection that left her unable to breathe.
During his stay, he was diagnosed with the flu and pneumonia. Sharing a photo of herself in her hospital bed, she wrote: “I didn't expect to spend the first week of 2025 in hospital. After having a nasty chest infection for almost 18 days at the house during ChristmasIt got out of control and I was having trouble breathing properly.
“The hospital confirmed that I had the flu and pneumonia. I was there for almost a week and I still haven't recovered.

“It might be a few more weeks before I feel like myself again. The reason for this post, however, is this: 1) NHS doctors and nurses are the best people on earth.
“I say this often, but they took care of me and my family when we needed it most, and I will never be more than grateful to them. They are the best of us.”
Carrie also shared a touching moment where a nurse lifted her spirits by singing to her during a “low point.” She added: “2) Obviously check with your doctor, but my advice is to get your flu shot.
“I really, really wish I had. It totally got away from me this year. No guarantees, but I most likely wouldn't have spent the last three weeks horribly, horribly ill if I had had it.”
Carrie then shared a touching insight into how her two eldest children, Wilfred, four, and Romy, three, helped her during her ordeal. Alongside a photo, she revealed that she was accompanied by “Greenie”, a treasured dinosaur toy owned by Wilf and which was one of his favourites, and “Romy's princess keychain”, a keepsake of her daughter intended to offer comfort during her hospitalization.
