Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has indicated he may consider running in the next election. He sent a veiled signal to this effect during a conversation with Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlises at a rally in Sanliurfa province.
After singing a song with the president, Tatlises asked him “if he was ready to run for president again.” “I am ready with you,” Erdogan replied.
Some local media interpreted this sentence as a signal that the head of state was considering the possibility of participating in new presidential elections.
