Donald Trump hilariously mocked former President Barack Obama ahead of his January 20 inauguration. This comes days after the duo was thrust into the spotlight with their surprising and friendly interaction at ex-President Jimmy Carter's state funeral in Washington, DC.

At the event, Obama, Trump and a number of other former US leaders, such as Mike Pence, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, were seated next to each other.

The Daily Show later mocked the irony of Obama's previous remarks against Trump, highlighting the embarrassment of the situation for both rivals. It's a bit weird for Obama, isn't it? Trump brings major twist to viral video, internet reacts

Amid speculation from executives about what Trump and Obama said to each other during their conversation at Carter's funeral, the president-elect put a funny twist on the clip to go after Obama.

Jeremy Freeman, a forensic lip reader, told the NY Post that although the two men laughed and smiled, their conversation was far from “lighthearted,” as social media dubbed it. According to Freeman, Trump leaned over while sitting next to Obama and suggested that they find a quiet place to talk about an important issue later in the day, perhaps one involving agreements international.

Trump, however, avoided any speculation from the leaders with lip service and released a clip of their conversation that was edited to include fake voiceovers of Obama and Trump with background music.

Obama: Well, Mr. President.

Trump: For the second time. Barack, very good to see you

Obama: Congratulations. How are you?

Trump: Much better now.

Obama: Yeah. I bet. I knew you would win.

Trump: Oh, I would? Well, come on. anyone could beat her, that's fair.

Obama: I was just as dismayed. you know what happened. She just didn't want to leave

Trump: I know

Obama: You know what happened, I did what I could to help her, she was horrible.

Trump: I know. Do you know what I achieved? Hillary still hates me. I know she will never forget me.

Trump: We should meet to discuss this.

Obama: I think so too. We can definitely arrange something, just let me know what is best for you.

Trump: I was going to go back to Florida tomorrow to go there.

Obama: Okay.
