New Delhi, January 16:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the successful docking of the SpaDEX mission satellites was an important milestone for India's ambitious space missions in the years to come. India became the fourth country to master space docking technology, after the United States, Russia and China, when the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced the merger of two small spacecraft – the SDX01, the Chaser, and the SDX02, the target – – weighing approximately 220 kg each.

India becomes 4th country to achieve space docking thanks to ISRO SpaDeX mission
The satellites were part of the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) mission, which took off aboard the PSLV-C60 rocket, from Sriharikota on December 30. Docking completed successfully. India has become the 4th country to successfully dock in space. Congratulations to the whole team! Congratulations India!
