Gugum Ridho Putra was elected President General of the UN for the period 2025-2030
Gugum Ridho Putra was elected general chairman of the Crescent Star Party (PBB) Central Leadership Council for the period 2025-2030 at the 6th PBB Congress in Denpasar, Bali, on Wednesday.
“I accepted and committed to serving as the general chairman of the United Nations Central Ruling Council,” Gugum Ridho Putra said in Denpasar on Wednesday.
Besides Gugum, in the 6th Congress, four other candidates for the post of general president were in the running, namely Afriansyah Noor, Jurhum Lantong, Fahri Bachmid and Hilman Indra.

Expert: Regional chiefs' retreats are useful, but they must anticipate problems
Professor of Government Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (UMY) Prof. Eko Priyo Purnomo said the retirement planned for regional leaders elected after the 2024 regional elections could be useful, but it had to anticipate a number of problems.

Secretary General Gerindra hopes Megawati-Prabowo meeting will take place in January
Gerindra Party General Secretary Ahmad Muzani hopes that the meeting between PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who is also Gerindra Party General Chairman, can be held in January.
“I pray that it can be done this month. The sooner the better,” Muzani said at the Senayan Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.
However, he did not specify the exact date on which the meeting between the two would take place.

Jokowi meets Sultan HB
The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, met with Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X at Kilen Palace, Yogyakarta City on Wednesday morning.
ANTARA journalists reported that Jokowi arrived at the scene at 08:51 WIB using a black car with registration number B 1568 AZC.
A number of security guards were seen standing guard at the entrance to the Sultan HB X residential complex.
