JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Vice-president (Wapres) Gibrán Rakabuming Raka did not attend the invitation to the family deliberation of the 65th anniversary of the mutual cooperation of community organizations (Ormas) (MKGR) on Saturday (1/18/2025) evening.
In fact, MKGR General Chairman Adies Kadir previously confirmed that Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be present at the event.
“God willing, the vice president will be present at the event,” Adies said during a press conference in Central Jakarta on January 15, 2025.
However, Gibran ultimately did not come and was represented by the General Chairman (Ketum) of the Party. Golkar Bahlil Lahadalia.

Before the MKGR anniversary, rumors circulated that Gibran would join the Golkar party through the MKGR.

Meanwhile, Gibran is currently not a cadre of any party after being fired by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P).

Responding to rumors about Gibran's membership, MKGR general president Adies Kadir said his organization was open to all.
“We just had a meeting (Organizational Consultative Assembly) on the 18th (January). This is where the political dynamics are developing. If I am not mistaken, the mass organization of the MKGR has already made it known “We are a mass organization, so we are open,” Adies said during the press conference in Central Jakarta on January 15, 2025.
He also stressed that the MKGR was open to everyone, from political parties to state civil servants (ASN).
“We are open to anyone joining mass organizations. Because these mass organizations are social activities that we carry out. “So we welcome anyone who wants to join a mass organization,” he said.
