The Prime Minister also said that the ExTeM center at IIT Madras was working on new technologies for manufacturing in space.
“This center conducts research into technologies such as 3D printed buildings, metal foams and fiber optics in space. This center is also developing revolutionary methods such as waterless concrete construction. This research from ExTeM will strengthen India’s Gaganyaan mission and the upcoming Space Station This will also open new avenues in modern technology in the manufacturing sector,” he said.
