“His wishes for Statehood Day are hollow and reflect his hypocrisy – which knows no bounds,” the Congress leader alleged.
“The Congress demands that he go to Manipur immediately. It's the least he can do to show his concern if he has any. Outsourcing Manipur to the Union Home Minister constitutes an abdication of responsibility of the Prime Minister and has proven disastrous,” Ramesh wrote.
The opposition party attacked the Prime Minister for not visiting Manipur and criticized the Center for its handling of the situation in the northeastern state. Last week, Congress, launching a vitriolic attack on the Prime Ministersaid he found the time, inclination and energy to travel the world, but did not find it necessary to reach out to people in distress in the northeastern state.
