Jokowi regarding the HGB controversy in the Tangerang Sea: verification of the legal process
tirto.id – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo or colloquially called Jokowi, finally opened his voice on his name which has been linked to the controversy over the 30 kilometer (km) maritime barrier that extends across the Banten Mer recently.
Jokowi gave his response regarding the controversy when met by the media after having lunch with PAN politician, Hatta Rajasa, and his son, Rasyid Rajasa, in Solo, Friday (24/1/2025) afternoon .
Jokowi stressed that, to investigate the root of the sea barrier controversy related to him, he asked relevant parties to first verify the validity of the certificate for the sea barrier area.
According to Gibran Rakabuming Raka's father, the legality of the construction of the sea barrier emerges from the HGB application procedure which is now under the spotlight to find out whether or not it complies with current regulations.
