New York-Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN secretary general, Antonio Guterres, said on Wednesday that their special envoy to Syria “strongly” encourages the United States and Turkey to approve a national ceasefire in Syria to provide stability to the Kurdish at will.

Pederson “strongly encourages the main international stakeholders, including the United States and Turkey, and regional partners, to support their Syrian partners. This includes support for a national ceasefire and the guarantee of real compromises that allow peace and stability to settle in the northeast part of Syria, “he added, referring to the zones held by the SDF.
SDF said that despite their agreement on a national ceasefire, Turkey and militia groups, he maintains to continue to attack the SDF positions in northern Syria.
The historic agreement between the homeless and Damascus was welcomed by many regional and Western countries, including Turkey. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hoped Tuesday that eight articles in the agreement, which include the transfer of an airport, oil fields and border crossings in Damascus, are fully implemented.
