Yunus to meet with XI on March 28: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The chief advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus, is likely to hold bilateral interviews with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on March 28, said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (March 13).
“A bilateral meeting with the president of China is scheduled for March 28,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, to journalists during the ministry's weekly briefing while answering a question concerning the next visit of the chief advisor in China.
Alam, who is also Director General of Ministry's advertising, described the preliminary calendar, noting that Professor Yunus should leave for China in the afternoon of March 26.
On March 27, AC will attend and deliver a speech to the opening plenary of the Boao forum for the annual conference in Asia.
Later in the afternoon, chief advisor Yunus should meet the executive vice-president of the Chinese Council of State.
The next day, Yunus will meet President Xi Jinping for bilateral talks in Beijing.
On March 29, he was expected to attend an event at the University of Beijing in the morning before returning to Bangladesh that evening.
Alam said that the teams concerned are currently working on the bilateral programs to be discussed during the high -level visit.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would hold a Curtain Press Point to provide more details on the trip.
Earlier this week, an inter -ministerial meeting, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss the Bangladesh agenda for the next talks with the Chinese president.
