Suara Indonesia, Banyuwangi In order to explore the potential of regional income as a source of development financing, the government of Banyuwangi Regency has established cooperation with a number of parties. One of them is to conclude a cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Directorate General of Tax (DGT) and the Directorate General of Financial Balance (DJPK).

The signing of PKS was made by a zoom link between the Director General of the Tax of the Ministry of Finance Suryo Utomo, Director General of Financial Balance of the Ministry of Finance Luky Alfirman and Banyuwangi Regent Ipuk Fiestandani in the Jogopati Régue Hall, Wednesday (12/3/2025). As also witnesses the head of the Banyuwangi Primary Tax Office Ahmad Fudholi and the acting secretary of Banyuwangi Gunutur Priambodo.

We have signed a collaboration with the Director General of Taxes and the DJKP of the Ministry of Finance. This cooperation should be able to optimize the reception of tax revenue, in particular in the increase in the PAD Banyuwangi, said the Ipuk Regent.

The IPUK said that this cooperation contract aims to optimize the implementation of the exchange and use of central and regional tax data, the joint supervision of taxpayers (WP) as well as assistance and support for capacity to the regional government.

With this collaboration, tax optimization can be carried out because the coordination will be easier between the center and the region so that the collection of tax potential data can also be more precise, Ipuk said.

In addition, cooperation will also strengthen regional tax management with the support of HR capacity for technology for local governments of the center, Ipuk said.

The signing of PKS was also carried out simultaneously between the DGT and the DJKP Ministry of Finance and 197 other regions that are both provincial, recent / cities throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the chief of the Banyuwangi primary tax office, Ahmad Fudholi, explained that so far there was a tranche between the central and regional WP. Thus, the DGT and the regional government can cross for a more precise data collection.

So that it can minimize the incompatibility of tax revenue or a double count for WP tax revenue which is in a WP that believes itself, said Ahmad Fudholi.

He also hopes that in the future, the PKS can express themselves well and offer as many advantages as possible, in particular for regional income which will support the development of Banyuwangi.
