Prison authorities do not produce Imran Khan in IHC at the expiration of the deadline of 3 p.m.

Islamabad: The High Court of Islamabad (IHC) ordered the authorities to produce the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, before the court on a personal basis at 3 p.m.

The directive occurred during the hearing of the petition of Mashal Yousafzai against the refusal of the authorization to meet the head of the PTI, who is imprisoned in the Adiala prison in Rawalpindi.

Initially during today's hearing, the court pointed out that if the defender general (AG) of Islamabad intends to proceed to the appearance of the video link, he must inform computer. However, if the founder of the PTI is not presented via a video link at 2 p.m., he must be brought before the court in person at 3 p.m.

After the expiration of the deadline at 2 p.m., the former Prime Minister was to be presented to the court in person, in accordance with the orders of the court.

However, the defender General (AG) of Islamabad informed the court that bringing him the founder of the PTI of prison was not possible due to security problems and that the video link was not possible either.

The court ordered the Superintendent of the Adiala and Islamabad Ag prison to submit their affidavits in this regard.

The court also trained a commission to send the clerk of the Sakina Bangash law to visit Adiala prison and confirm the founder of the PTI if Yousafzai was his lawyer or not. The commission which includes the clerk of the law was responsible for meeting Khan tomorrow (Saturday), and the prison superintendent was responsible for making arrangements for the meeting.

To this, Yousafzai said that the training of the Commission was a golden opportunity for them. She also asked that the commission wonders if the founder of the PTI was authorized to meet his friends.

Islamabad AG then declared that the court order was linked to meetings with lawyers, not friends.

Judge Sardar Ejaz Khan pointed out that Yousafzai appeared before the court as a lawyer, and that the court heard the petition accordingly.

Earlier, the court noted that the fact of not complying with an order from the previous court, which was issued with the consent of all parties, is equivalent to an outrage in the court. During the previous hearing, the court had ordered that the petitioner was authorized to meet the founder of the PTI.

Expressing disappointment, the judge said the prison authorities should follow the court directive. “Prima facie, the court is convinced that the prison authorities committed an outrage,” he said.

The court also noted that a list had been submitted, allegedly provided by the founder of the PTI. However, if the court is not satisfied with his authenticity, he will check him directly from him.

Expressing the frustration of the prison authorities, the court reprimanded the prison superintendent, saying that they had transformed the issue into mockery.

During the hearing, lawyer Shoaib Shaheen informed the court that the political leadership had not been able to meet in the past five months. Judge Sardar questioned the Superintendent of Adiala prison, asking him if he had been informed why he had been summoned.

Superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum replied that he was outside the city. Judge Sardar also asked why a meeting was not organized the previous Friday. The prison manager said that the founder of the PTI did not wish to meet anyone that day.

The judge also expressed his concerns concerning the order of the previous court, wondering why Yousafzai was forced to wait at the Office of the Superintendants instead of facilitating the meeting.

The prison superintendent replied that the founder of the PTI and his wife, Bushra Bibi, had said that Yousafzai was neither their lawyer nor their focal person.

The court then interviewed Yousafzai on the cases in which she is a founding lawyer of PTI.
