President Donald Trump said the United States “seeks to get along” with Chinese President XI while seeking to minimize the concerns of his growing relationship with Vladimir Putin could increase the global influence of Beijing.

Trump for the first time imposed prices in Beijing in 2018, accusing the nation of unfair commercial practices.

In March, he imposed an additional tax on import imports of 10% on Chinese imports, to which Beijing responded with additional tariffs of 10 to 15% on certain American agricultural and food products, including chicken and cotton.

The president said: “You don't want Russia and China to come together”, but added that the strengthening relationship between the two did not lead its recent pivot to support Moscow.

“Obama really forced them together thanks to bad energy policies,” said Trump.

“He forced a marriage that would never have taken place, it was not natural.

“They are probably sympathetic now, but we are going to be friendly with both.

“China needs us very well in terms of trade.”

The president said that his goal was to straighten the deficit, saying that there is more than one deficiency in billions of dollars with China.

“We are going to do something about it,” he said.

Trump also reported his intention to improve trade relations with Russia.

“With Russia, we don't have much trade, and they would like and we would also like it,” he said.

“They have very precious things for us, including very large rare forms of earth.

“They have a large part of real estate, in fact the largest in the world for a country from afar and what they have of things that we could use.”
