Vladimir Putin accepts the 30 -day stopover on strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure on appeal with Donald Trump

Vladimir Putin ordered the military of Russia to refrain from hitting Ukrainian energy infrastructure for 30 days, but stopped accepting an unconditional cease-fire.

The Kremlin said that the Russian president had reacted positively to Donald Trumps suggesting to stop attacks during a call between leaders on Tuesday. He added that Putin immediately gave the Russian army the corresponding order.

But rather than accepting the proposal of the American presidents for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, Putin underlined a series of important problems concerning the application of such an agreement and serious risks concerning the conformity of Kievs.

In an article on Truth Social, Trump described the call as very good and productive, adding: many elements of a peace contract have been discussed … This process is now in force and indeed and we hope, for the purpose, for humanity, do the work.

The readings of the call indicated no indication that Putin was willing to make compromises on his maximalist objectives for war, which in fact constitutes the implementation of the existence of Ukraines as an independent state while bringing back most of the expansion of Natos in the east of the old iron curtain.

According to the reading of the Kremlin, Putin said he was ready to work with the United States to end the war, but insisted that any agreement had to take into account the unconditional need to remove the initial reasons for the crisis and the legal certainty of Russia.

The Kremlin said Putin stressed Russia's key condition to prevent the conflict from intensifying and moving to a settlement would be a total end for foreign military support and intelligence with kyiv.

Last week, Kyiv signed up for Trumps offered a 30 -day truce after the pressure of Washington, who had suspended military aid and intelligence sharing.

Trump also suggested that Trump also suggested that land and power plants would be divided between kyiv and Moscow in any final peace regulations, an apparent reference to Ukrainian assets occupied by Russia.

The White House said that the two leaders had agreed that this conflict should end with lasting peace and underlined the need to improve bilateral relations between the United States and Russia.

He added that they had agreed that the movement towards peace will begin with an energy cease-fire and infrastructure, with technical negotiations to start implementing a sea cease in the Black Sea, followed by a complete ceasefire and permanent peace.

The Kremlin said Putin had reacted positively to Trumps' proposal on the maritime security of the Black Sea and added that Moscow and Washington would set up groups of experts to work on the track of a ceasefire.

Steve Witkoff, the envoy of Trumps Middle East, told Fox News Sean Hannity on Tuesday that talks with Russia would continue on Sunday in Djeddah, Saudi Arabia, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the national security adviser Mike Waltz.

Until recently, we really had no consensus around these two aspects of energy and the ceasefire of the infrastructure and the moratorium of the Black Sea by pulling and today we arrived at this place, said Witkoff. I think it's a relatively short distance from a complete ceasefire from there.

The devil is in detail, added Witkoff, and we were able to understand these details. Beyond that, go well to a complete ceasefire.

Ukral President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had launched the possibility of a truce to attack energy targets in October, saying that it could open the way to broader peace talks.

Zelenskyy said on Tuesday that kyiv would support the proposal to suspend the strikes of energy infrastructure, but added that the conditions that Putin attached to a full truce showed that his intention was to weaken Ukraine.

He noted that Russia was preparing new offensives, stressing what he said was an accumulation of border forces with the Ukraines north of Sumy.

Zelenskyy later wrote on the X social media platform that Russia undertook drone attacks against Ukraine civil infrastructure, including a Sumy hospital.

Only a real cessation of strikes on civil infrastructure by Russia, such as proof of its desire to put an end to this war, can bring peace closer, said Zelenskyy.

Asked about Trump-Putin's call, a Ukrainian civil servant Asenior involved in peace negotiations said that a ceasefire of energy infrastructure was the only realistic proposal because, ultimately, Putin wants war.

The Kremlin said that Putin and Trump had discussed a wide range of directions where the United States and Russia could cooperate, including mutually beneficial partnerships in economics and energy.

The leaders also discussed the Middle East, where they said they would make joint efforts to stabilize the situation in crisis areas, as well as global security, in particular by establishing cooperation on nuclear non-proliferation, the Kremlin said.

Trump also agreed to suggest Poutines that Russia and the United States host international ice hockey matches featuring players from the two countries, added the Kremlin.

The Tuesday call followed a conversation between Trump and Putin in February which launched the efforts of the American presidents to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

During the last month, Trump exerted strong pressure on Zelenskyy to make concessions and negotiate a settlement with Putin.

The American president was criticized at national and international level for having been much less demanding towards his Russian counterpart, although he threatened to impose additional sanctions on Russia if Putin does not engage in peace talks.

Trump promised to end the war in Ukraine throughout his presidential election campaign in 2024, placing him at the top of his foreign policy plans for his second term.
