The editor: Kamla Persad-Bissessars claims that a bloodless coup was an insult calculated to the intelligence of the electorate. She knows very well that our Constitution does not require general elections when a Prime Minister descends, but she deliberately peddled this Clain to make indignation.

It is not the behavior of a responsible political leader.

The rules governing the Prime Minister's succession in a parliamentary democracy are neither complex nor mysterious.
