Joko Widodo, as a graduate of Gadjah Mada University (UGM). The reason is that the thesis and thesis coverage sheet uses the new Roman times, which, according to him, does not yet exist in the 1980s in the 1990s. This statement of Rismon sparked a controversy and a debate among citizens. Many doubted information, but not a few that believed the story he had transmitted with a digital forensic analysis.

The dean of the Faculty of Forestry UGM, Sigit Sunarta, regretted the circulation of misleading information delivered by Rismon. In addition, the former speaker is a former of the electrical engineering study program, UGM Faculty of Engineering. We deeply regret the deceptive information provided by a speaker, who should be able to shed light on and educate the public with useful information, said Sigit on Friday (3/21), on the UGM campus.

Sigit said that as an agademic, Rismon should conclude information based on good research and methods of research. According to him, Rismon could not only examine the diploma and the thesis of Joko Widodo, but also had to make comparisons with the diplomas and the thesis published the same year at the Faculty of Forestry.

With regard to the accusation of using the new Roman times on the thesis and diploma coverage which is considered doubtful of the authenticity of the document, Sigit explained that that year, many students used the new Roman police or similar types of letters, in particular to print coverage and ratification sheets in printing. In fact, around the UGM campus, printing services have been available such as Prima and Sanur (which are now closed) which provide thesis coverage printing services. The fact that there is already a printing machine in Sanur and Prima should also be known to the person concerned, as he also studies in UGM, he said.

It is known that the Joko Widodo thesis ratification sheet was indeed printed in printing, while the whole content of the 91 -page thesis still uses a typewriter. Many students' theses use the coverage sheet and ratification of the printing machine, he said.

Regarding the serial number of the Joko Widodo diploma, which would not have used clusters but only figures, Sigit explained that at that time, the Faculty of Forestry had its own policy and that there was no uniformity of the university level. The numbering system does not only apply to the Joko Widodo diploma, but also to all graduates of the Faculty of Forestry. The number is based on the order of the identification number of students who graduated and added the FKT code, represents the name of the faculty, he explained.

Sigit again deplored the accusations of Rismon who doubted the authenticity of the diploma and the thesis of Joko Widodo by video content. The accusation seemed to be involved that the diploma of Joko Widodo published by UGM was false. Please note that Joko Widodo's diploma and thesis are original. He had studied here, a classmate knew him well, he was active in students' activities (Silvagama) and recorded a variety of courses and worked on the thesis. Therefore, the diploma issued by UGM is original, he said.

The same has been transmitted by the president of the Faculty of the Forest Senate of the UGM, San Afri Awang. He regretted the erroneous information issued by Rismon. San Afri even has a personal experience linked to the use of new Roman times on the coverage of the thesis. I still remember when I made a thesis blanket, I went to Prima printing. At that time, the famous places of cover were prima and Sanur. About the use of computers to type, do not be surprised, because towards UGM at that time, there was a typing service with the IBM PC computer. I myself used it to process statistical data, he said.

However, San Afri said that all students of the Forestry Faculty had not marked the printing services. There are also those who choose to use a typewriter to print the cover and the ratification sheet. Many of my friends who are economically disadvantaged to make the cover and the ratification sheet with a typewriter, he recalls.

San Afri admitted that he could not think that there were still individuals or groups who attacked UGM for accusations that the diploma and the thesis of Joko Widodo were false. The problem is to become wilder with an additional analysis that is not based on the facts. He was sure that this information hoaks was deliberately expired to find the feeling alone. Pak Jokowi is a graduate from here and the proof is there, he said.

Meanwhile, Frono Jiwo, a Joko Widodo classmate at the Faculty of Forestry UGM, said he was concerned about information circulating on social networks. Frono said that he and Joko Widodo were a generation, entered the college in 1980 and graduated in 1985. We were a contemporary with Mr. Jokowi, who entered 1980, he said.

In college, Joko Widodo was known as a calm person. However, during the gathering with his friends, he has a high sense of humor and often throw jokes that invite laughter. Pak Jokowi is a calm person, but if you speak, are always hilarious. What is said always invites laughter, he recalls.

Criminal law professor of the UGM, Marcus Priyo Gunarto, evaluated the accusation of Rismon according to which Joko Widodo had falsified a diploma and a thesis had to be legally proven. According to Marcus, in criminal law, there are two categories of counterfeit, namely to make false and falsification. This accusation is not clear, if falsify or make false, he said.

Marcus stressed that the charges against Joko Widodo and UGM were very weak. He had studied, exams and judicium here. Thus, the diploma exists and can be proven, he concluded.
