A guest of GB News was fiercely closed by the commentator Matthew Stadlen after saying that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “has moved away” from a possible peace agreement with Russia.
In a fiery debate on the future of Ukraine in the midst of world efforts to conclude a peace agreement, journalist Aaron Mat said that Zelensky had awarded an agreement with Russia after losing the support of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

“We now know that Boris Johnson visited Zelensky in early April and told him that we are not going to support you if you conclude an agreement with Russia, we are not going to give you the security guarantees that you have to conclude a peace agreement with Russia, and we think you should fight it, we think you can win.

Indigna by Mat's remarks, commentator Matthew Stadlen said that his argument was “shameful”, and “did it immediately”.

Mat was held firm on his argument, reply: “I did not say that they did not do it. They approached Kyiv, they never tried to take kyiv seriously.”
Stadlen struck back, declaring: “They were beaten back by valiant Ukrainian soldiers. You are jostling your head, that's reality.”
The host Bev Turner then intervened, saying: “Boris Johnson has blood on his hands, and I heard that of several sources.”

Stadlen was firmly disagreeing with Bev, encouraging him to “invite Boris Johnson to his show” to defend himself.
He told Bev: “Boris Johnson is someone I criticized daily for months after month, year after year, almost daily when he was Prime Minister, I thought he was a horrible Prime Minister.
“If you want to accuse him of having blood on his hands with regard to the Ukrainian war, please invite him in your show and challenge him, because I think that is a whole statement and I think that is something on which he should have the right to defend himself.”
