Donald Trump suggested that he would be happy for the United States to become an associate member of the Commonwealth if King Charles was to offer.

On Friday, the American president published a news of the sun which referred to a secret offer supposed that the British monarch should extend during the visit planned by the state of Trumps in the United Kingdom. He added: I love King Charles. It seems good to me!

The British Labor government has sought to deploy the royal family as a means of smoothing relations with Trump, which has long expressed its admiration for them.

Friday, the government said that the question was a question for the palace. However, British officials declared in private that they were unaware of such a proposal.

The United States has never been part of the Commonwealth, which was originally made up of former British colonies and now includes 56 countries as members.
