XI's special envoy atauguration of the Namibian-Xinhua president

Windhoek, March 22 (Xinhua) – Friday, the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Peng Qinghua
Peng, vice-president of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in China, also met President Nandi-Nndaitwah to discuss bilateral relations.
During their meeting, Peng made warm congratulations from XI and the best wishes for the inauguration of Nandi-Nndaitwah and the 35th anniversary of the independence of Namibia, which coincided with the inauguration.
Peng underlined the deep traditional friendship between China and Namibia, noting that this year also marks the 35th anniversary of the creation of diplomatic links between the two countries.
Peng said China was ready to take this opportunity to continue high-level exchanges with Namibia, improve political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation and strengthen international coordination, in order to continue the Chine-Namibia full strategic cooperation partnership for the benefit of the two peoples.
Nandi-Nndaitwah thanked Xi for sending a special envoy to attend his inauguration and asked Peng to transmit his cordial greetings to the Chinese president. She spoke a lot about Namibia-China relations, thanked China for her long-standing support and help in Namibia, and expressed the hope of deepening friendly cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Dignitaries and representatives of nearly 30 countries and international and regional organizations attended the inauguration.
