Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy Exhort PM Modi to ensure a fair delimitation exercise

TadePalli (Andhra Pradesh) [India]March 22 (Ani): The former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and the president of the Ysr congress party, Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, exhorting Hime to ensure that the next delimitation exercise is carried out in a way that guarantees that no state is undergoing a reduction in his representation in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.
According to the instructions of Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy, the parliamentary chief of YSRCP, YV Subba Reddy, also sent the same letter to the DMK party leaders, stressing the need for a fair and balanced approach in the delimitation process.
In the letter, Reddy asked for an amendment to article 81, paragraph 2, a) of the constitution of India to ensure a proportional increase in seats for all states.
The letter reads as follows: “SIR, if it is imperative that the ratio is maintained as guaranteed the constitutional provision, then it would be necessary to modify the constitution to give such a proportional increase in seats for each state. Associated with this State in total seats.
