Jairam Ramesh asks as judges SC reaches manipur

He also questioned the delay in the imposition of the president's reign and criticized Shah for visiting Mizoram but not manipur.
“There is no answer to the reason why there was so much delay in the imposition of the president's reign. The Minister of the Interior goes to Mizoram, why did he not go to Manipur? And the things that the chief minister of Mizoram said after being in America to raise many questions,” said the chief of the Congress.
The head of the congress urged Prime Minister Modi to visit Manipur, either before going to Bangkok, or on his return.
“We hope that on his way to Bangkok or by returning from Bangkok, the Prime Minister takes a while to visit Manipur. The Prime Minister's visit is crucial for a touch of healing,” added Ramesh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Thailand from April 2 to 4 to attend the sixth Bimstec summit in Bangkok.
On February 13, the regulation of the president was imposed on Manipur following a report by the Governor of the State. Violence in the state broke out on May 3 of last year after clashes during a rally organized by the Tribals Students Union (ATSU) to protest against the request for inclusion of the Meitei community in the planned tribe category.
