Shaheed Diwas: This day commemorates the sacrifice of three brave Braves of Liberty Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar who were executed by the British colonial government in 1931.
Shaheed Diwas:On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Bhagat Singh freedom fighters, Sukhdev and Rajguru, who were executed by the British for their involvement in the Lahore Conspiracy affair.
The three revolutionaries joined forces to oppose British domination, with Singh throwing a bomb in the central legislative assembly in April 1929. The bomb was not intended to kill anyone but to underline its protest. They were hanged that day in 1931. The three of them were under 25 at the time of their death.
