Aleema Slams Imran “ controlled ''

Aleema Khan, the sister of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, accused the authorities of selectively allowing meetings with the founder of the PTI, with the exception of those who really wish to see it.

Speaking outside Adiala prison on Tuesday, she revealed that she and her sisters had been forced to wait two and a half hours but finally refused a meeting.

She condemned the judiciary, qualifying the legal system as “decomposed” and accused her of dragging the cases with political motivation. She deplored that even if Bushra Bibi's family obtained a meeting, the three sisters did not get the same access.

According to Aleema, the priest's priest's supremo told his lawyers that the prison authorities had informed him that there would be no meetings during the Eid holidays.

Aleema also revealed that during a joint investigation by the (JIT) inquiry team, she was accused of being responsible for the activity of social media concerning the PTI.

“We believe what our lawyers tell us, but in the end, it is the courts and the judges who must ensure justice,” she said, adding that legal credibility was at stake.

She also deplored that nearly a thousand PTI workers have been imprisoned since November 26, unfolding that these people were imprisoned not for personal reasons but for the cause of Pakistan.

“A court grants a deposit, while another summons them in another case. We will do everything we can for our prisoners,” she promised.

Meanwhile, a dispute occurred at door 5 of Adiala prison after Babar Awan was authorized to meet the founder of the PTI, despite the objections of the PTI legal coordinator, Salman Akram Raja.

It was the first day of meeting scheduled following a directive of the High Court of Islamabad (IHC).

Tensions have evolved when Babar Awan submitted his name for approval to Salman Akram Raja. Raja then opposed, arguing that only the lawyers he approved should be allowed to access.

He provided a list including himself, Niazullah Niazi, Naeem Panjutha, Zaheer Chaudhry, Hamid Khan and Azam Swati. However, the prison authorities withdrew Swati from the list and rather allowed Awan to proceed.

The change in the list led to a confrontation, Raja demanding that Awan be barred. “If he is allowed inside, we will protest,” he warned.

Prison officials initially assured him that Wan would not be authorized to enter, urging Raja and other managers to carry out their meeting.

However, prison authorities allowed Awan inside, breaking their previous insurance. Finally, six PTI lawyers, of which Awan, met the founder of PTI.
