Disrupted to delays, Imran moves IHC for the first decisions – Pakistan

Lawyers say that hearings cannot be canceled without legal justification for the judicial problems of opinions on the leaders of PTI Petition against the Jit Summary of Jit asks the authorities to resolve the Afghan issue on the table instead of Battlefield

Islamabad: former Prime Minister Imran Khan approached the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) for repeated delays in business against him, including the Toshakhana case, expressing concerns about prolonged adjournment.

His legal team, including lawyer Salman Safdar, Qausain Faisal Mufti and Arshad Tabrez, filed a petition questioning repeated reports. They argued that the hearings could not be canceled without legal justification and that the accused must be present before the court.

The petition noted that the Toshakhana affair, concerning allegations of conservation and illegal state gifts, including an expensive Bulgari jewelry set, was to be heard in Adiala prison, but was unexpectedly moved to the legal complex in Islamabad.

The hearing was then adjourned until April 14 without any procedure. The petition noted that previous hearings on February 27 and March 11 have also been delayed.

Addressing Dawn, Imran Khan and the spokesman for Bushra Bibis, Niazullah Khan Niazi, said Khan had raised serious concerns about legal delays affecting his business across the country. He stressed that the Bench of the High Court of Lahore (LHC) auditory of deposit requests linked to May 9, 2023, the cases were also dissolved.

Niazi also accused prison authorities of having violated the CIH larger bench order by obstructing access to Mr. Khan.

He said that the secretary general of PTIS Salman Akram Raja had submitted a list of six people for visits to prison, but that the authorities only authorize Mr. Raja, Zaheer Abbas, Mr. Niazi himself and Naeem Panjhuta while refusing access to Hamid Khan and Uzair Bhandari. He said that the PTIS legal team would move a request for outrage with the Grand Banc against the prison authorities.

Imran Slams Govt Politics

Niazi added that Imran Khan had criticized the government of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) for having pretended to solve Biden's administrations on Afghanistan, which, according to Mr. Khan, increased the troubles in Pakistan.

Mr. Khan urged the authorities to solve this problem on the table rather than on the battlefield.

Niazi said that the founder of the PTI also asked the authorities to involve real representatives of Balutchistan to end unrest in the province.

IHC issues opinions

Meanwhile, the IHC issued opinions to the respondents in a petition contesting the quotation to appear to the PTI leaders by a joint investigation team (JIT).

Judge Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas, who presided over the hearing, issued opinions to the interior secretary, the JIT and the Inspector General (IG) of the Islamabad police, requesting their responses in the matter.

During the hearing, the petitioner lawyer argued that the JIT was illegally constituted under PECA and that its leaders under the IG Islamabad violated article 30 of the law.

The notification of the JIT training, published on July 26, is illegal. The investigation should be carried out by an officer of the investigation agency, not the police chief, said the lawyer.
