Dr. Yunus is now heading for Beijing to talk to President XI

After attending a series of meetings at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 here, the chief advisor Muhammad Yunus is now on the way to Beijing to organize bilateral interviews with Chinese president Xi Jinping, scheduled for Friday.

The chief advisor left Qionghai Bo'ao international airport for Beijing at 7 p.m. (China time), Azad Majumder Azad Majumder told the deputy chief advisor.

Dr. Yunus will participate in an event entitled “Investment Dialogue” with Chinese business leaders, organized to inform Chinese user -friendly environment in Bangladesh and attract Chinese investments in Bangladesh.

Saturday morning, the chief advisor will visit the University of Beijing and will receive the honorary doctorate.

After obtaining the honorary doctorate, the chief advisor will give a speech to the public.

In the afternoon, Dr. Yunus will give an exclusive interview to China Media Group (CMG), a renowned Chinese media organization, and Xinhua (probably) where various aspects of multidimensional relations between Bangladesh and China and the future direction of the position of Bangladesh on various contemporary international problems will be shared.

The chief advisor will attend a dinner to be organized by the Bangladesh ambassador to China.

Bilateral instruments to sign

Bangladesh and China are expected to sign several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUS), Dr. Yunus and President Xi Jinping will hold a bilateral meeting in Beijing on March 28.

Bilateral cooperation documents are likely to be signed in the fields of human resources, economic and technical assistance, cultural and sports cooperation and cooperation between the media.

The Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen said that on Sunday, the visit of the chief advisor to Professor Mohammad Yunus in China would be “a very successful, productive and significant visit” with a few announcements.
